FAQs
When will my pottery be ready?
Our typical turnaround time for classwork is about 3–4 weeks from the date it’s created. While delays are rare, we’ll always reach out by phone or email if one occurs.
If it’s been longer than 4 weeks and you haven’t heard from us, it’s possible we had trouble reaching you—sometimes a phone number is entered incorrectly. In that case, just send us an email and we’ll be happy to check the status for you.
If it’s been less than 4 weeks, your piece is most likely still in progress. Pottery takes time, and unfortunately, the process can’t be rushed!
I’m going on Holiday - how long do I have to collect my pottery ?
Once you receive your collection notification, you’ll have 8 weeks to pick up your pottery. At that point, we’ll send you a final reminder via text and/or email with an additional 2-week deadline.
In total, you have 10 weeks to collect your work. If we don’t hear from you during this time—and after several unsuccessful attempts to contact you—your pieces will sadly be donated to our “Free Pots Box”. Unfortunately, we can’t store uncollected pottery indefinitely.
However, if you reach out within that period, we’re always happy to arrange an extension for your pickup time!
How do I book/ can you provide me with dates?
All of our courses, classes, and workshops can be viewed and booked online. All sessions must be pre-booked and prepaid in advance, and we’re unable to accept walk-in bookings.
If a class is showing as full in the system, it has reached maximum capacity and, unfortunately, we can’t squeeze anyone else in.
On request, we’re sometimes able to organise a booking manually or provide a list of upcoming dates. However, since all available session times are always listed online, it’s best to check there first!
When are you releasing new dates?
Oct–Dec Workshops: 21st September 2025
Nov–Dec Classes: 5th October 2025
Jan–March Courses: 2nd November 2025
I have a voucher code and it’s not working, why?
When redeeming a voucher, please make sure to process one booking per person. Our scheduling platform doesn’t accept voucher codes when multiple spots are booked in a single transaction. If you’ve checked the quantity box, you may see an error message. To avoid this, simply book each person individually, and your code should work without issue.
Other common reasons a code might not work include:
The voucher has expired.
The voucher isn’t valid for the specific experience you’re trying to book.
If you’re still having trouble, just send us an email and we’ll look into it for you as soon as possible!
I need to reschedule my session!
No problem! We just ask for 48 hours’ notice for classes and 1 week’s notice for courses if you’d like a refund or to reschedule.
Simply send us an email, and we’ll happily arrange the new date for you on our end.
Is there an age requirement?
All classes clearly specify the age range in their descriptions.
Hand-Building BYOB classes are strictly for ages 18+, due to our alcohol consumption policy.
Wheel classes start at age 14+, though occasional exceptions can be made—just reach out to us via email beforehand.
We aren’t from Glasgow - can you post our pottery?
Unfortunately, we do not post pottery due to the risk of damage or loss in transit.
If you’re unable to collect your items personally, we recommend arranging for a friend or family member to pick them up on your behalf.
Do you offer kiln hire or firing facilities to the public?
We don’t and can’t offer personal kiln use. Our two studio kilns are fired about three times a week, always at full capacity, to ensure consistent quality for classwork, coursework, tutors’ projects, and members’ pieces.
Issues like explosions, runny glazes, or slumping clay mean we simply cannot accommodate additional personal firings.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
You can read further details regarding accessibility here.
Our studios are located on the first floor of an old warehouse building. While there is a lift, it is currently out of operation, so access is only available via stairs at this time.
We are actively working towards making our space fully wheelchair accessible in the near future and appreciate your understanding as we pursue these improvements.
If you require wheelchair-accessible facilities immediately, we recommend visiting our sister studio for pottery painting, which is conveniently located on the ground floor.
