Pottery Wheel - 2 Part Workshop / Make a Large Black Clay Vessel with Nadia (Intermediate).

£150pp

(14+)

In this two part workshop which is suitable for intermediate potters with a little experience on the wheel, our resident tutor Nadia will introduce you to the processes of throwing and assembling large vessels on a potters wheel using black clay.

In the first two hour long session you will be guided through the steps of making a large vessel/vase thrown in two parts.

Return for your second session and learn how to trim, assemble and decorate your creation!

A selection of specialist glazes are included in the price of the workshop.

Pieces will be ready for collection 2-3 weeks after the workshop.

*Please be advised that the Black Clay body is gritty in texture. It is absolutely still suitable for throwing, but feels a little different to smoother clay bodies. Please be wary of this if you have particularly sensitive skin or a skin condition that effects your hands, and if you have sensory requirements. You may bring surgical gloves too if you are worried! Our tutor’s throw with this clay comfortably on a regular basis, but it’s a little odd to work with if you aren’t expecting it.
